Mile Marker #35, Valentines Day!

  The HEART!  The Bible says, "guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life", Prov. 14:23.

Isaiah said. "The heart is deceitful and desperately sick above all else, who can know it?  The next verse says, "I the Lord test the hearts...".
Jesus said, "It is not what you eat that defiles you but what comes out of your mouth.  For out of the heart comes evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and slander," Matt.15:19.

In Mark 7:21 Jesus added, "coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, pride, foolishness."

Paul had lists of these Lusts of the Flesh also.  "Strife, jealousy, tempers, disputes, gossip, arrogance, disturbances, impurity, and immorality," II Cor. 12:19.  "Idolatry, sorcery, enmities, dissensions, factions, drunkenness, and carousing," in Gal. 5:19.  "Passion, evil desire, greed, wrath, malice, abusive speech, slander, lying," Paul added in Col. 3:5-9.

Peter joined the listing also, "malice, guile, hypocrisy, envy, slander," in 1 Peter 2:1, and sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, idolatries, and dissipation" in 1 Pet. 4:1-4.

Jude got in on it also, "licentious, immorality, homosexuality, bestiality, rejecting authority, revelers, unreasoning, grumblers, fault finders, arrogant, flattering, mockers, causing divisions."

Paul had another list in Ephesians 4, "sensuality, greed, impurity, lying, stealing, filthy mouth, bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, slander, malice, immorality, silly talk, and coarse jesting."

And finally, Jesus, after His resurrection, added, "Cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and liars," Rev. 21:8.

Paul said, "put off the old man and put on the new man."  He said, "If any man is in Christ he is a new creature, the old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new", II Cor. 5:17.  He also said, " I have been co-crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live but the Divine Nature now lives with in me," Gal. 2:20.  The minute a person places saving faith in Jesus and repents towards God, he is killed and born again at the same time.  Jesus told Nicodemus except a man be born again from above he can't even see the kingdom of heaven," John 3:3.  Romans 6:1 says we died to sin.  We should live in sin no longer.  Paul said let him who steals steal no longer but let him work.  If a man does not work, neither let him eat.  That's Gods welfare program for the unwilling capable.

Some refer to our 'flesh' as 'sin nature'.  Paul says sin is a law that lives in our body or flesh.  It is utter depravity.  The Greek word for 'flesh' is 'sarx' and means body or 'meat'.  The Carnal Christian or the unsaved try to remedy this problem by turning over a new leaf, trying harder, working, good works, learning, etc..  These solutions won't work.  They aren't God's solution.  Like Hitler's Mein Kampf, Paul had his struggle.  We all do.  Every human alive has this struggle.  At 53 years of age I found God's solution.  I got saved at 22 years of age, went on to get 2 degrees at a Bible College, and still didn't know the final and only solution to mankind's sin problem.  It took me 31 years to find it.  Do you know what it is?  I'm not going to tell you now.

Christians don't have a sin nature any longer.  Paul said in Romans 8:9, we are no longer in the flesh.  We are no longer in the 'sin nature'.  Or call God a liar.  Col. 2:11 says our 'sin nature' has been surgically amputated by God's own invisible hands.  Amazing.  If you don't know and believe this truth you are a Galationist.  You are a flesh fixer-upper.  A flesh perfecter. I call it a 'pig washer'.  I was one for 31 years.  Pathetic.  Unbelief leaves you in a quagmire of confusion.  Jesus said "the truth is what will set you free", John 8:32.

It's true, I'm crazy, or I'm lying?  You figure it out for yourself.  I can't make you believe.  Remember, "Without faith it is impossible to please God,"  Heb. 11:6.

Mile Marker #34, Republican Presidential Candidates?

Is this the best we can do, Newt Gengrich and Mitt Romney?  Two losers.  Two liberals in conservative clothing.  Two unsaved men.  Mitt is a Mormon, sorry, Mormons aren't Christians,  They believe a bunch of  heresies like Jesus and the devil are brothers, and they accept extra-Biblical revelation, the book of Mormon, which Jesus himself forbid in the book of Revelation.

Gengrigh promotes the New Apostolic Reformation.  He is a New Ag-er, a Communitarian.  He is aligned with the new Religious Right such as Rick Warren.  Their gospel is a Glen Beck type of lets just be good and do good and keep the 10 commandments and pull together and play nice and this will fix the world.  Apparently these people haven't  heard of the New Testament and the age of Grace we are already in.  Problem is, those of us who are born again spend so much time carnal and backslid and following the world we don't make a strong case for God's saving grace.  I'm as big of offender as any.  Too bad God doesn't let us live until the first time we loose our first love and then kill us.  Most of us wouldn't live very long.  I would have made it about 3 years.  Three years is about the average before we cool off.  D.L. Moody put it best.  he said we are all 'cracked pots'.  We 'leak'.  He said, "The only way to keep a cracked pot full is by keeping it under the faucet."

Here is another way to put it.  Do you spend 20 minutes watching TV each week?  Each week!  I spend 20 minutes 9 times a day a lot of times.  Well then, how do you expect to remain close to the Lord?  Your pastor has you for only 20 minutes on Sunday.  He can't compete with all your carnal programing from TV and its lust shows, drinking, nakedness, worldly music, advertisements promoting envy, lust, and dissatisfaction with everything you have including your wife, house, car, location, lifestyle. clothes, and on and on and on.  Let alone all the carnal radio stations, country, rock, new age, head banger, heavy metal, and what all.

How did I get off on this 'rant'?  Anyway, garbage in---garbage out.  How much time do we spend singing spiritual songs?  How much time do we spend memorizing Scripture?  How much time do we spend in prayer?  How much time do we spend helping others?  How much time do we spend in fellowship with other Christians?  I'm preaching to myself as well.

Paul said the counterfeit, the anti-Christ, the man of sin, would not be revealed until after the real church departs from the truth.  He called it the Apostasy.  Well, we are in the state of Apostasy right now.  This means the church is full of false doctrine and practice.  And we don't stop living in sin.  Paul said in the last days we would,  "hold to a form of godliness but deny its power".  That means we will still go to church and keep our sin as well.

We ordain homosexuals, gamble in our gas stations, let alone casinos and going to Vegas, we ordain women, we turn charity over to the Government, and on and on.

The general population of the United States is so worldly, carnal, and spiritually dumb, we might just get Obama 4 more years.  We will be economically ruined by then.  Bush wasn't a lot better.  He was in with the multinational crowd and the lobbyists and money moguls as well.  It seems God won't allow a real Christian, Patriot, Statesman, to rise to the top.  Ron Paul is in the neighborhood but his spiritual 'take' sucks.  Mitch Daniels, the present Governor of Indiana would be the most fantastic candidate of our time.  What is he waiting for.  Michelle Bachman would have been fantastic but nobody realized it and wouldn't vote for her.  It is a sigh of how sick our country is.  We are backslid en to the point of our own destruction.

One other rant.  I would like to inform all the presidential candidates and the last several presidents, they aren't running to be president of America.  The are running to be president of the United States of America.  We are the United States.  They aren't running Canada, Mexico, Central America or South America.  We aren't really as big a fish as we think we are.  Our Military is only the strongest in the world because God has allowed us to be so.  God can and will remove sovereignty if  He reaches His puking point.

And I would like to inform Barack Obama the United States isn't a Democracy,, we are a Democratic Republic.  "I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States if America, and to the Republic for which it stands..."  not, "and to the Democracy" for which it stands.

And while I'm at it, we have 3 branches of government.  Like a 3 legged stool.  Congress and the Senate make Law.  The Supreme Court decides yes or no whether they have been violated or not, and the Commander and Chief executes the punishment of lawbreakers foreign and domestic.

Congress and Senate spend their time lining their own pockets and those who buy them off.  Judges legislate from the bench and do what Congress is supposed to do.  And the President runs around like he is a god, Czar, a Caesar, like a dictator, a know it all, solve it all, run it all.  I'm sick of all of them.

To top it all off, we have a nation full of lazy fat drunken gluttons who want the Government to tax to death anybody who dare work and generate a profit because they are "entitled" to handouts.  My Bible says if a man doesn't work, he doesn't get to sit down to the dinner table.  He can just starve to death.  That is literally what the Bible says.  Unless you don't think we are to take the Bible literally.  Then you are part of the problem also.

I want to thank all of you who take the time to read posts on my blog.  I can't put in pictures without my wife's help so I'm not real fancy.

I have a ton of things I want to post so check in occasionally and it will get more interesting.  Until I retire  things will come out slowly.

 I believe 'Political Correctness' in the USA is in direct opposition to Biblical correctness.   The 'New Morality' is the old immorality.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a command for all men everywhere to repent of their sins, me included.  That means turn towards God and trust Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior.  Read John 14:6.

Post # 32, Christmas Day 2011

Church was packed today.  Lots of peoples families were home.  I mean church was fuller than regular.  I go to an independent Bible Church.  A real church with born again Christians.  We preach the real Gospel.  We don't baptize infants, we don't ordain homosexuals or women.  We do allow long hair on men and we don't cover women as Paul taught we should.  We don't understand Biblical enlightenment and we still teach Jesus was born in Winter.  Funny, livestock only go out to pasture in the northern hemisphere May through September.

If you watched the Bethlehem Star you would see Jesus was born June 17th.  The Magi didn't get there until Dec. 25th.  That is correct.

Anyway, it has been a quiet day.  No family.  A bowl of soup for a meal.  I'm feeling rather melancholy.  Looking forward to the day being over.

I had a molar tooth out last Monday.  Took 3 hrs in the chair.  It still hurts so bad I have to take 400mg of Ibuprofen and a Tylenol with codeine.  The hole is big enough to park a pickup in.  Top right side.

Tomorrow is off work.  Have some home projects to get done.  Hope I feel better.  Ive been checking out a web site my sister told me about, www.pinterest.com .  About home projects and apparently skinny women.

Told my wife it's about time for another massive earthquake, 'tsunami, volcano, flood, blizzard or some other event described as "Biblical proportions".  But to those who are confused by the Mayan calendar and other non-Biblical viewpoints out there, the world doesn't come to an end in 2012.  That's a misguided fable.  Next comes a 7 year period of judgment greater than the earth has ever seen or ever will see.  Worse than the Flood of Noah.  Then the 1000 yr. Millennium will come where Jesus and Christians run the world.

Jesus is going to return to the Mt. of Olives in Israel and rule the world from Jerusalem.  He is going to show the Arabs where the borders are, settle the Palestinian problem and put an end to Islam and Roman Catholicism.  Rome is the Harlot Church of Revelation.  The Antichrist will waste her when he is done with her.  He will use her as the whore she is.  Roman Catholicism is not Christianity.  Mormonism isn't Christianity either and Mormons don't go to 'Church' as Glenn Beck claims.  They aren't in the church.

Well, I just tipped my hand and opened a can of worms.  "If you abide in my word then you are truly disciples of Mine and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free," John 14:6, Jesus.



Am I telling the truth?  Am I crazy?  Am I a liar?  You decide.
   

Post # 31, The Star of Bethlehem

I want to let people know about something I ran across on the Catholic EWTN TV channel a few years ago.  This has been a surprising blessing to me and I'm sure if you check it out it will be to you also.

A Christian named Fredrick Larson, who is an Attorney, was asked to prepare material for his Sunday School class.  He chose to find out what the Star of Bethlehem really was.  With the aid of computer programming he was able to turn back the stars to what they were doing in the heavens when Jesus was conceived, born, and months later when the Magi of the east arrived in Jerusalem and asked King Herod where The King of the Jews who had been born recently was located.

Post # 30; NE vs. Penn State noon today 11/12/11

It is 9:14 am as I write.  The kickoff is at noon.  It is the first day of rifle deer season here in Nebraska so the countryside is full of mostly men hunters out after a trophy buck or just meat for the freezer.  Drive out into the country and you can hear cannons going off all day long. 

The pedophile scandal has been all the talk all week on TV sports talk.  The shame on Penn State Joe Paterno has allowed.  Too bad this story didn't break 10 years from now when pedophilia will be socially accepted.  The USA has lowered its moral standards to embrace same sex marriage, homosexuality, lesbianism, among other things. 

Apparently the Cornhuskers are just an 'also ran' team this year.  We'll see after the next three games.

Post # 29, Cornhuskers Football, 11-5-2011, loss to Northwestern.



I listen to Nebraska Football talk shows and the game on 94.7 KNEN out of Norfolk, NE.  Yesterday I was helping pick corn, imagine that, I'm a Cornhusker bread and born, I can't get away from it.  I was listening to the game knowing how important it was for our first year in the Big 10.  We lost!

After the game Mat Davidson said there was no reason for us to loose.  We were at home, a big advantage.  We have better talent and more to loose if we lost.  We had more players suited up.  What went wrong?

Their is an unseen X factor in any battle.  The X factor is the Lord.  Not just any 'lord', THEE Lord.  The only God their is, Jesus Christ, the God of the Bible.  Deuteronomy 6 says their is only one God.  Isaiah said His name was, "Wonderful, Counselor,  Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."  Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit aren't 3 Gods, they are One God in three, of His many, persons.  God is a plurality of persona's.

My point is only God can give you the victory.  He decides who wins and who looses.  God could care less about football but He does care about the character and belief system of the coaches, players and the School system involved.  The Chancellor of the University of Nebraska, this week, embraced the politically correct position on same sex marriage by saying he was excited the University was going to provide benefits to same sex couples and embrace the changed and modern view of marriage. By taking the politically correct position he took the Biblically incorrect position.  Thus, he lost God's favor.  If you turn your back on God, He will turn His back on you.  He does this to spank you.  "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sews, that shall he also reap", Gal. 6:7.  "God is no respecter of persons,"  Acts 10:34.  "The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord," Prov. 21:31.

If our Chancellor is a Christian, he doesn't know his Bible or he is a coward?  I don't know which.

If he is not a Christian he needs to obey the gospel and become one, so he can get on the right team.  We are to "repent and turn towards God and place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ," Acts 20:21.  "The Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus,"  2Thess. 1:7-8.   Jesus' team is the right team.  We are the team that never looses in the game of life.  We may loose our lives but we will never loose our life.  We may still loose football games, even if we are right with Him, but we need to live in His favor in things not pertaining to football as well as things that do, whether we win or whether we loose.  "Though He slay me, yet will I praise Him," Job 13:15.

If you don't stand for Biblical correctness on all issues, why would you expect to ever have God's favor on any program at the University of Nebraska?  You would be a fool, a coward or deceived.  Am I right, am I crazy, or am I a liar?  Lord-Lunatic-Liar.
